- All tourists must carry a valid passport.
- Roundtrip airfare verification.
- Economic solvency.
- Traveler must present a minimum of five hundred dollars ( 500.00) in cash, traveler's checks and /or International card.
- International Certificate of vaccination against yellow fever
(over a year old and under 65 years of
age)
- Tourist card or Visa:
- Tourist Visa: Can be obtained from the Panamanian consulates
abroad.
- Tourist Card: Valid for thirty (30) days,
normally sells at airline counter when you check in your luggage. If
they neglect to sell one, it can also be purchased at the
Panama airport from immigration authorities at a cost of five ($5.00)
dollars.
- You can purchase an extension at the
immigration office for an additional two (2) months by applying seven
(7) days before the expiration of the present one. The tourist card
allows a stay up to 90 days in Panama. If you want to extend your stay
over ninety (90) days, you should visit the Immigration and
Naturalization Service office before the end of the ninety 90
day period. In some cases a tourist card is
required.
